Description

De Moersleutel Craft Brewery has been around for 9 years already! This time they're celebrating with 3 sets of 3 beers. Every 2 weeks they release a set of 3 beers.

The full set consists of the following beers:

1) Cyclops Escape

Cyclops Escape is a tropical NEIPA with peach, pear and stone fruit. Brewed with Peacharine, El Dorado (T90 + Cryo), Citra (Dynaboost + Cryo) and Nelson Sauvin.

A fruity flavour explosion of peach, pear and tropical fruit, with a refreshing hint of watermelon. Soft, smooth and easy to drink. The Cyclops is loose — time to escape!

2) Circe's Enchantment

Enchanting, fruity and full of character. Flavours of pink grapefruit, lollipop and watermelon, brewed with Talus, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin and Superdelic hops.

Expect refreshing citrus and red fruit, with a sweet lollipop twist. Talus adds grapefruit, tropical fruit and a hint of dried rose and pine resin, while Superdelic treats you to a candy-like flavour. Hyperboost, a concentrated hop oil made with a new and luxurious extraction method, is added after the beer is centrifuged for an extra powerful hop experience.

Smooth, fruity and irresistible—be enchanted with every sip.

3) Journey to Hades

A journey to the underworld has never been so tropical. Journey to Hades is a robust TIPA with pronounced flavours of passion fruit, lemon peel and mandarin. Brewed with Riwaka in T90, Cryo and Amplifire Oil, plus Idaho-7 and Citra in both T90, Cryo and oil extract form.

Riwaka bursts with its intense passion fruit and citrus – simply breathtaking. The Amplifire Oil is made from super fresh Riwaka hops, straight from plant to oil, on the same day of harvesting. It doesn’t get any fresher than this!

Double mashed and full of character. Excessive? Certainly. But above all very tasty.

4) Siren Encounter

Dark, deep and seductive. Siren Encounter is a rich 8% English stout, triple mashed for maximum body.

Brewed using only English ingredients: Bramling Cross hops for an earthy berry note, a range of warm, chocolatey malts, and classic Fullers yeast for a silky mouthfeel. Thanks to a high mash temperature and slow fermentation, the beer remains full-bodied but not sweet. Full of chocolate, toast and a hint of berry. Flavourful, layered and surprisingly drinkable.

Singing sirens? Odysseus tied himself down. You just take another sip.

5) Scylla and Charybdis

A stout that challenges you, just like the legendary sea monsters Scylla and Charybdis. This rich 11% stout offers an irresistible combination of peanut, cocoa and nougat – inspired by a famous candy bar, but even better.

With a whopping 300kg of peanuts and 60kg of Bolivian cocoa (which naturally has a nutty flavour) you get a deep and rich base. Strongly roasted coffee adds an earthy depth, while vanilla makes it beautifully smooth and creamy. Complex and full of character, but always well balanced. A stout that will make even the fierce sea monsters stop their rage and enjoy this treat.

6) Helios Island

A stout that takes you to the legendary Isle of Helios, where seductive flavours will captivate you. This 11% mega stout combines tonka, muscovado, vanilla and Colombian coffee and cocoa for a rich, layered experience.

With muscovado from Barbados adding rich molasses, toffee and slightly smoky notes, along with deep flavours of cocoa, coffee and caramel, this beer is full-bodied and complex. The Colombian cocoa adds notes of cacao, citrus, dried fruit and walnuts, while the coffee adds honeyed aromas and a hint of red berries. The tonka and vanilla bring a subtle creaminess that is perfectly balanced with the smoky and earthy notes.

Seductive flavours that would distract even Odysseus from his quest.

7) Calypso's Temptation

Everything about this beer exudes luxury – from the carefully selected whisky barrels to the rare vanilla. Seductive, extravagant and irresistible.

This stout has been aged in three American whiskey barrels: Weller Wheated (sweet and smooth), Sazerac Rye (spicy, slightly smoky) and Heaven Hill (reliable and balanced). To complete the seduction, vanilla from Madagascar, Papua New Guinea and rare beans from the Comoros Islands – which provide a rich, pastry-like depth and subtle tobacco notes.

Layers of creamy vanilla, warm whisky notes, wood and spice make this beer complex and seductive. This stout is like Calypso itself: luxurious, compelling and almost impossible to resist.

8) Return to Ithaca

Coming home after a long journey – this special quadrupel captures that feeling in every sip. Return to Ithaca is deep, rich and layered, with notes of raisins, dried fruit and soft caramel.

What makes this quadrupel really special is the layered use of oak. Spirals, cubes and even a touch of liquid tannins provide refined wood tones, a hint of vanilla and a subtle spiciness. The oak lifts the beer into a complex and harmonious whole, without being overpowering.

Brewed with a blend of barley, rye, wheat and spelt, this quadrupel gives a soft, full body with a refined malt profile. This is the penultimate chapter of our 9 anniversary beers – a beer like a homecoming, rich in character and full of stories.

9) Confronting Suitors

This beer is the crowning achievement of Moersleutel’s 9 anniversary beers, an ultimate expression of luxury and complexity. We pulled out all the stops for this non-adjunct barrel aged stout.

The beer matured in two special barrels. The first was originally not used for liquor, but for syrup, namely maple syrup, and adds a deep, salty sweetness that is unique in its kind. On the other hand, there is the spicy, slightly smoky character of Sazerac Rye bourbon barrels. Together, they create a beer that is both robust and refined, with a layered complexity that continues to surprise.

Just as Odysseus eventually returned to settle the score with the suitors, so this stout concludes our 9-year beer adventure: powerful, intense and unmistakably Moersleutel. Expect rich notes of salty maple, spicy rye whiskey, smoky oak and an impressively full-bodied mouthfeel.
